Arguably one of the best defenders in the world, Carles Puyol has made giant strides in world football and has been pivotal to Barcelona’s success in recent years. There aren’t many centre forwards who enjoy playing against the tough tackling Spaniard, who certainly isn’t afraid to put it about.

While his exploits on the pitch continue to draw widespread recognition, his exploits off the pitch draws an equal amount of adulation as he dating one of the most beautiful women in the world. Malena Costa is a Spanish supermodel, who let’s be honest puts most of the Premier League wags in the shade.
